The Defiant 270° Black Replacement Outdoor Motion Sensor boasts a weather-resistant housing with an adjustable range of up to 100 ft. It features a 270° range of motion detection and patented, DualBrite, 2-level lighting for energy efficiency. A selectable motion timer and various lighting modes provide further lighting versatility.
Compatible with the following bulb types: PAR38 incandescent and select PAR38 dimmable LED outdoor rated-wet rated (Current LED compatible bulbs - sku #1002027464 and 1002027454)
DualBrite 2-level lighting which offers accent lighting for selected time when no motion present and full bright light for security purpose when motion is detected
Alert flash mode promotes two quick flashes of light before going into constant lighting mode

Easy to install and performed as expected. 2 installation tips: remove bulbs from fixture before starting and attach fixture to box with a Spare piece of String so you have 2 hands free to complete wiring connections.

The owner's manual did not specified that this unit only compatible with certain light bulbs.

I spent numerous hours installing this unit to my LED light only to flick on the switch to get blinking light instead of floodlight. Thinking it must be the light, I disconnect the sensor and had direct power source, light worked as it supposed to. Then thinking it must be a defective sensor, went to HomeDepot to get another one and installed as the first, same thing happened. Then contact Defiant customer services only to be told that this unit is NOT compatible with LED lights. Why wasn't that specified in the owners's manual or packaging? When asked for one that is compatible with LED lights, she doesn't have one but that I should just change LED to Halogen. One cannot just change the light source with a snap of fingers! It was definitely an exercise in frustration. Very poor product with poor customer service!
